And She Said Yes...

It's been almost a year since Jordan announced he had a New Years Resolution to ask out this cute girl in his ward -
Natalie was her name. He was nervous; but he had a plan.
He went back to school last January after the Christmas break -
determined he was going to do it.
Well he did ask her out on a date,
...and she said yes!
The above picture is taken at Disneyland a few months later -
I think in May, maybe Memorial Weekend.
He had just given her a diamond ring
and had asked her to be his Princess Forever,
...and she said yes!
In August - he took her to the Temple to make it official,
...and she said yes!

A few weeks ago a friend from our Ward went to Rexburg to see Jordan. They hadn't seen each other for about 4 years with Missions and all. He stayed and visited for a while. After spending time with Jordan and Natalie he has announced he wants to have a life just like them. He wants an old ripped couch with a cover on it. He wants a cardboard box for an end table. He wants to be poor, he wants to be in love just like them,
he wants to be happy just like them.

On November 28th is Natalies Birthday,
her first Birthday as a Moon!
Our life has been crazy with many things going on including another wedding and I don't think I have expressed my appreciation and love like I should to her.
So here's to you Natalie!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Thank You for making my son the happiest man on earth
Thank You for being who you are
Thank You for loving him
Thank You for stepping right into our family and
becoming a part of us
Thank You for the sparkle in your eyes and your
delightful personality
Thank You for being exactly what Jordan was looking for
Most important..
Thank You for saying Yes!
Happy Birthday - I hope your day will be magical
and all your wishes come true.
You are so stinkin' cute!
We love you so much
and at this Thanksgiving Season
we are so Thankful and excited to have you in our family!

I Already Know Her

Things are crazy at my house and have been for the last year. We are in constant wedding mode and I will be so glad when it is over. The other day I got a package in the mail from Albion, Idaho with a bunch of pictures in it. Of course knowing what it was I ripped it open...my heart skipped a beat when I saw this picture. This is my newest future daughter-in-law "Lacy B" as Brian calls her. I recognized her, she belongs, she's a part of me and I hardley know her. I just am amazed at the miracle of her coming to our family. That sweet little face was destined to be a Moon from the beginning of time - I know it...because like I said - I recognized her! I am so glad Brian found her. I knew he would!

Weirds Things About Me

Ok - long time and no time to post but something sparked my interest...I have read blogs that people are being tagged and posting things that are different about them or just weird quirks in their personality and I thought of some that drive me crazy ... but it's just me.

1. I hate dumb questions - I know their is no dumb question people say, but I say YES THERE IS! Like "What's For Dinner?" when they know the day has been crazy or I am up to my neck in grandkids and they can't smell or see anything. I hate that question, I have been listening to it for 30 years multliple times a day and don't want to hear it again!!!1 Or "What is This?" being yelled from the other room - I don't know what it is because I have no idea what you are seeing or holding or talking about...You get the idea?

2. I love paper and doing things with paper - no not scrapbooking - on any given day I have all of the colors of paper in stock and waiting for a project to show up. You could call me a paper junkie.

3. I go crazy sitting together with family when people start picking at things, fingernail biting (can't stand the noise as they bite into the nail), picking intently at their toe nails or junk in between their toes, scabs that never heal because they are constantly getting picked at, or zits on their back or arms that they have to get distorted just to reach them. Do they think nobody is watching - My thing is do those things in private not where everyone is watching - it is discusting and very distracting.

4. Along with my paper fettish I love notebooks - I don't know why. Whenever I am planning something I get a new notebook and color coordinate everything including the pens, post it notes, stapler, paper clips, etc. In my old age I can't remember things as well so I like to have a notebook to keep track of things. Right now I have an orange binder going (Brian's Wedding), pink binder (YW) Black & Pink binder (Church History class) - I am phasing out the Red and Black Binder (Jordans Wedding) Blue Binder (Cruise to Alaska), I will retire them but have them stocked up waiting for the next event - on stand by is a green binder (old Nauvoo trip) and purple binder(Old disneyland trip). But not to worry along with each binder I have a matching bag with water bottle. Although my orange water bottle was taken over by Alexa in Rexburg so not to worry. Strange I know but I am weird that way.

5. I am not a sauce person. I love spaghetti but hate alot of sauce, I love pizza but ask for small amount of sauce. I just don't like it juicy - Keith makes fun of me because he loves lots of sauce so when we make homemade pizza we each make our own and we put the spaghetti sauce on the table so we can dish our own - Just not a juicy person.

6. I am weird about water in my eyes - My eyes are very sensitive and I don't like water in them - when I swim (which hasn't been for a long time) I swim with my head out of the water. Weird but true - even in the shower I am careful not to get water in them...

Their you have it weird things about me or things that make me crazy - ok lets hear from you!

What Happened To My Babies?

I remember the day that each of them was born, I remember what they were like as little children. They were so good and sweet and fun. I try not to remember when they were teenagers. But I have always been told if they were good and sweet as little children then they will be that way when they get older.
Guess what it's true. I love my kids, each one of them have different personalities,
different likes and dislikes and they all are taking different paths but the thing that makes me proud is they're all heading in the right direction.
What more can a mother ask for.
You go kids - you go...follow your dreams,
believe in yourselves, work hard, learn from your mistakes
and stand tall
but most important
Remember Who You Are...and you can't go wrong.
Dad and I are behind you 100%.
You are my miracles!

Walking In A Winter Wonder Land...

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we went up near Rainier and cut down a Christmas Tree. It was so beautiful, peaceful, and a wonderful day for the 3 of us. We wish we could have had the rest of the family with us but we are so glad we went. It didn't take us long to find 2 trees that would work in our house. We hiked a while, ate lunch, drank hot chocolate then headed home.
Great Day Spent Together!
Now we just need to get the trees up, if only April would stop getting hurt.

I Love These Pictures!!!

We were in Escondido, CA this summer at the Lawrence Welk Condominiums, I think Ben and Laura were at a Padre game and we were baby sitting. The kids are playing in the shower.
They are just so stinkin' cute. In the top one Conner lookes like he is going to turn on the water I love the look on the Camerons face - but don't worry Jakob has his foot on Alexa ready to stand on her. Looks like on the 2nd one Alexa is going to the bathroom and Cameron is going to climb in Alexa's lunch bag. They had so much fun that night - being together in the shower.
I am sad to think that we will all be apart for Thanksgiving - that 3 of my children are in Rexburg. Thank goodness they have each other and Cori and Colin are there to take care of my boys - the good news is exciting. I just can't wait - Cori and Colin are risking their lives and coming for Christmas. The boys are coming home. We are so excited. It will be fun to all be together again. Crazy as always but fun. It will be good times - especially since Brian is heading off to Basic Training then AIT. Who knows what the future holds for our family. But for now I am excited for the Holidays and to see what trouble/fun/craziness my cute little grandkids get themselves into. Maybe this time we can get Baby B's in the picture.
The Miracle for Today
Is my family - we love them so much and are very grateful for who they have all become. They have all taken different paths but are all headed in the right direction. We are happy and proud of them. Maybe who ever reads this could count your blessings and look for your own miracles just for today.

Why Is Everything I Want So Expensive?

Click on the this link and you can read about the above mixer.
I wish I could talk to someone who has one of these or something similar. I want one for Christmas - they are so expensive but I really want something to make bread and mix large batches of cookie dough. I have a Kitchen Aid but it only makes small batches. I don't want to knead bread by hand, it is to hard so I just don't do it. Is there anyone out there who reads this blog who has any experience with the Bosch mixers and could give me any input? This is the newest version - it sounds wonderful. I have always wanted a Bosch and hope this one would be a great one and last forever.
